Online gambling addict jailed

NORTHERN IRELAND -- Online gambling companies have come in for criticism from a judge in an embezzlement case, The BBC reported.

Eamonn McGirr stole $500,000 from Tyrone Tiling Services, which he gambled on football, horses and online blackjack, the BBC report said.

The judge suggested online gambling companies "take a look at the way they do business", while he jailed McGirr for 20 months, the BBC said.
