North Carolina to face decision on compact with tribe

NORTH CAROLINA -- Hurricane Irene is not the only thing approaching North Carolina, so is a decision which could result in live casino table games, according to the Macon County News.

North Carolina will soon decide on ratifying a compact that could see live table games at Harrah's Cherokee Casino, the report said.

The casino is one of the State's most significant employers and currently the Gov. and the Tribe are negotiating details of the compact, the Macon County News reported.
