Newcastle Casino presents summer entertainment lineup

6 April 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Newcastle Casino recently announced its live entertainment schedule for late spring and early summer. Live entertainment is scheduled for April through June, and bands will play on the entertainment stage in the southeast building from 8 p.m. to midnight. The below concerts are free and open to guests 18 years of age and older. Additional details about featured bands are below.

Stars – Saturday, 8 April
The Stars have been a popular variety band throughout the region since the '80s. Playing a mixture of dance music, they are constantly evolving to continually perform top dance hits. Their playlist includes music from across the decades, spanning from The Beatles to Prince to Usher.

Aaron Woods Band – Saturday, 15 April
The Aaron Woods Band is one of the more musically diverse groups in the Texas-Oklahoma red dirt scene. Soon after its inception, the band established itself as one of the more relentless touring groups in Oklahoma, playing more than 100 shows a year. In early 2012, the band entered the studio, teaming up with producer Tony Peirce to record their debut album, "Signal from the South.”

Jeff Wood – Saturday, 22 April
Jeff Wood, an Oklahoma native, is an award-winning songwriter and recording artist. He has composed songs for many of Nashville's top stars, has three Top 40 hits as an artist himself and performed with the likes of Wynona and Leeann Rimes.

Push Play – Saturday, 6 May
More than a cover band, Push Play is a musical experience. The band offers a fantastic mix of professionalism and talent. Trading vocals and styles, they move from one genre to another, recreating hits of today and classics from decades past flawlessly.

Stars – Saturday, 13 May
The Stars have been a popular variety band throughout the region since the '80s. Playing a mixture of dance music, they are constantly evolving to continually perform top dance hits. Their play list includes music from across the decades, spanning from The Beatles to Prince to Usher.

Midas 13 – Saturday, 20 May
Midas 13 is a high-energy, five-piece band based in Oklahoma City. They cover tunes of all genres, from the '70s to current hits.

Life of the Party – Saturday, 27 May
With its high-energy blend of variety party music, Life of the Party has quickly become one of Oklahoma City's hottest party bands. Whether you have a taste for rock, pop, hip-hop or country, Life of the Party can do it all.

BC & The Big Rig – Thursday, 8 June
Bringing the spirit back to rock and roll, BC & The Big Rig is a Tulsa-based band featuring drums, guitar and vocal excellence.

Laredo – Saturday, 10 June
Laredo brings a newer, bolder sound with their fresh take on country music. As a country cover band, Laredo is influenced by an eclectic range of music. However, their sound is mostly influenced by musicians such as Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban, Zac Brown Band and Jason Aldean.

Brandi Reloaded – Saturday, 17 June
Brandi Reloaded is a rock and pop cover band that brings together five talented people and delivers a power-packed show that will appeal to your senses, both musically and visually.

100 Bones Band – Saturday, June 24
100 Bones Band is a funky blend of blues, rock and reggae. Influences include an eclectic mix with a wide variety of sounds, such as The Beatles, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones and many others.
