Newcastle Casino live entertainment schedule highlights local talent

28 June 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Summer is heating up at Newcastle Casino with its recently announced live entertainment schedule. Live entertainment is scheduled for July through August and bands will play on the entertainment stage in the southeast building from 8 p.m. to midnight. The below concerts are free and open to guests 18 years of age and older. Additional details about featured bands are below.

Wino Browne – Saturday, 1 July
Wino Browne has been a part of the local live music scene since 2000. Jess Cockerham is the front man, Daniel Finley is on bass and vocals, Darren Finley is lead guitar and vocals and Chris Aragon is on drums and vocals. Their versatile song list keeps Wino Browne in the elite group of truly great local entertainment.

Replay – Saturday, 8 July
Replay plays a variety of dance music from the '70s, '80s, '90s and today.

Stars – Saturday, 15 July
The Stars have been a popular variety band throughout the region since the '80s. Playing a mixture of dance music, they are constantly evolving to continually perform top dance hits. Their play list includes music from across the decades, spanning from The Beatles to Prince to Usher.

Audio Eden – Saturday, 22 July
Primed with all-time favorites, Audio Eden is a four-piece band that covers today's hits, including the '80s, '90s and some classic greats from the '60s and '70s.

Jason Young Band – Saturday, 29 July
The Jason Young Band features a variety of musical talents including guitar, bass, piano, drums and fiddle. After sharing the stage with country artists like Blake Shelton and Charlie Daniels, The Jason Young Band now focuses on the Midwest music scene with their own country hits as well as covers of popular songs ranging from Elvis to Bruno Mars.

411 Band – Saturday, 5 August
With dynamic vocalists and a wind and rhythm section, the 411 Band performs a high-energy R&B show.

Stars – Saturday, 12 August
The Stars have been a popular variety band throughout the region since the '80s. Playing a mixture of dance music, they are constantly evolving to continually perform top dance hits. Their play list includes music from across the decades, spanning from The Beatles to Prince to Usher.

John Arnold Band – Saturday, 19 August
With experience playing with country stars such as George Strait, Reba McEntire and The Bellamy Brothers, the John Arnold Band brings a wide mix of sounds, including country, swing, bluegrass, rock and jazz.

Hook Echo – Saturday, 26 August
Hook Echo was established in 2011 with seasoned players from other Oklahoma City-based bands. They play a mixture of classic and modern pop-rock songs.

2AM – Saturday, 2 September
2AM is a pop rock and dance band with a soulful southern influence. The band plays a perfect mix of originals and covers.

Stars – Saturday, 9 September

100 Bones Band – Saturday, 16 September
100 Bones Band is a funky blend of blues, rock and reggae. Influences include an eclectic mix with a wide variety of sounds, such as The Beatles, Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, Radiohead, The Rolling Stones and many others.

Aaron Woods Band – Saturday, 23 September
The Aaron Woods Band is one of the more musically diverse groups in the Texas-Oklahoma red dirt scene. Soon after inception, the band established itself as one of the more relentless touring groups in Oklahoma, playing more than 100 shows a year. In early 2012, the band entered the studio, teaming up with producer Tony Peirce to record their debut album, "Signal from the South."

Push Play – Saturday, 30 September
More than a cover band, Push Play is a musical experience. The band offers a fantastic mix of professionalism and talent. Trading vocals and styles, they move from one genre to another, recreating hits of today and classics from decades past flawlessly.
