New York Racino Opening Day a Success

FARMINGTON, New York – As reported by the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle: " If opening day is any indication, the new 'racino' at the Finger Lakes Race Track will be a whopping success.

"By 9 o'clock, patrons had filled the lobby and spilled outside the building, to make sure they got a spot at one of the more than 1,000 new gaming machines when the facility opened at 10 a.m. At 8 a.m. several dozen people had already gathered, the crowd swelling to several hundred by 9:30 -- and by 10, well over 1,000 streamed through the doors.

"…Many of the early arrivals said they came from Rochester and surrounding suburbs…"
