New Mexico casino gets renovation

17 March 2010

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The saying is true; everything is great at exit 108, including the all new Dancing Eagle Casino. Laguna Development Corporation plans to celebrate the grand opening of the newly renovated Dancing Eagle Casino on Thursday, December 10th. From top to bottom, every where you look you will see something new.

The completely renovated facility includes an entirely new casino floor, players club and cashier, new carpet, paint and tile. The project also features a new open-air grill and lounge, exterior walkways, parking lot, marquee sign, even the staff uniforms are new. Loyal guests will hardly recognize their favorite local's casino adorned with fresh, vibrant colors, a theme that is laced throughout the entire casino.

Dancing Eagle Casino opened its doors in 2000 at it's current location 10 minutes East of Grants on Interstate 40, and has been a local favorite ever since. "The additions we made will make Dancing Eagle Casino the newest and most entertaining casino serving the Cibola County and Gallup markets," explains Jeff Inman, Casino Manager. "While the façade of the casino is all new, one thing that won't change is our personality, we will always be the like the famous television show "Cheers", a locals club where everyone knows your name."

One of the most dramatic changes is the reconfigured casino floor that made room for 100 new slots. Dancing Eagle Casino now offers over 630 of the newest slots in the industry, including Reel em In Compete to Win, the first of its kind in New Mexico . Other firsts include Platinum Quick Hit, Lucky Penny and Jeopardy. The casino floor now features wider aisles and walkways, allowing guests to find their next jackpot even more easily.

Live entertainment has always been the heart of Dancing Eagle, now it has a home in Café 108, an all new open-air grill and lounge. "When we developed Café 108, we saw an opportunity to provide our guests with something that they could not find in the market, a high quality live entertainment venue," says Jeff Inman, Casino Manager. Local bands will perform on the new stage every Thursday through Sunday from 9 PM -1 AM. As always, the live entertainment at Dancing Eagle is free. The new lounge will include 10 tables and bar seating for 30. There is a new, large dance floor and a new state of the art sound system that will carry the music across the casino so everyone can enjoy the music while playing slots or just enjoying a relaxing evening. Café 108 will also feature a large projection screen to show a variety of sporting events.

While the entertainment is hot, so is the food. Café 108 will have over 30 menu items to choose from, so now guests can enjoy table side service and a meal while enjoying the live entertainment. Menu items will include favorites, nachos, cheese steak sandwiches and fry bread tacos to name a few. Café 108 is the perfect place to kick back and take it all in. The new Café 108 will be open from 11 AM – 11 PM Sunday- Wednesday and 11 AM – 2 AM Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Grand Opening entertainment will feature Orale and Native Roots performing Thursday December 10 th.

Grand Opening festivities will kick off with the $100,000 Everybody's a Winner Giveaway where guests can get a free pull on a Giant 10 Foot Slot Machine once every day for guaranteed prizes included free play, free gas, food discounts and logo items, or the $100,000 grand prize. The more you play the more free chances you can earn. Dancing Eagle Casino will be offering special food offers, prizes and free play to their guests throughout the month, in celebration of their Grand Opening.

Dancing Eagle Casino was the first casino opened by Laguna Development Corporation, and has been a local favorite ever since. Dancing Eagle Casino is owned and operated by Laguna Development Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Pueblo of Laguna.
