New Hampshire house rejects expanded gambling proposal

CONCORD, N.H. -- An expanded gambling proposal in New Hampshire failed to convince the New Hampshire House Wednesday, WMUR reported.

The Senate had previously passed a bill to permit gambling expansion, but Gov. John Lynch had threatened to veto it, WMUR said.

Expanded gambling had been proposed to deal with budget difficulties, WMUR reported.
