New Hampshire: Gov. indicates he'll veto gambling legislation

16 November 2011

CONCORD, New Hampshire -- New Hampshire's Gov. John Lynch has indicated he's unlikely to support expanded gambling legislation, according to the Nashua Telegraph.

Gov. Lynch outlined his position in a letter to Senate President Peter Bragdon citing concerns over lax regulation, proliferation, and risk to quality of life, the report said.

Expanded gambling proponents say they are not giving up though, even though a lack of support from the Governor seriously derails the chances of success, the Nashua Telegraph said.
