New casino approved for Greenville, Mississippi

GREENVILLE, Mississippi -- As reported by the Delta Democrat Times: "Plans appear to be moving ahead for the opening of a new casino in Greenville.

"Harold Duke of the Hideaway Casino told the Greenville City Council on Tuesday that the company received site approval in September, funding is in place and the boat is in position.

"The casino is to be located on upper Lake Ferguson.

"Now the company is awaiting approval from the Mississippi Gaming Commission on its plan to construct a boat dock where they would host fishing tournaments. Duke said the company does not wish to build a hotel..."
