MuzikMafia's James Otto brings hits to Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs

9 August 2017

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Billboard hit-maker with a bluesy, muscular voice and dynamic stage presence visits Cherokee Casino & Hotel West Siloam Springs on 18 August. James Otto will play a show free to the public.

The show begins in SEVEN Bar at 9 p.m.

In 1998, Otto moved to Nashville, where he began attending songwriters' nights and making connections in the local scene. Three years later he joined MuzikMafia, a group of country songwriters that includes Big & Rich and Gretchen Wilson.

He signed with Mercury Nashville Records in 2002, and his first singles from his debut album, "Days of our Lives," charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Making the move to Warner Bros. Records in 2007 sent Otto's career into overdrive as he released the hit single "Just Got Started Lovin' You." The song became the biggest hit of 2008, reaching No. 1 and earning a Grammy nomination. The album "Sunset Man" peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Top Country Album chart and was certified U.S. Gold by the RIAA. Otto began earning a reputation as one of Nashville's most compelling young songwriters.

Otto co-wrote Jamey Johnson's hit "In Color," which was nominated for a second Grammy and won both the Country Music Academy's Song of the Year awards in 2008. The artist has penned songs for John Anderson, Trace Adkins, Randy Owen and many others, including the Zac Brown Band hit "No Hurry."

Otto self-released the new single "Somewhere Tonight" in late 2014 with his own Ottopilot Records.
