Mixed verdict on new Pittsburgh casino

PITTSBURGH -- Pittsburgh's new Rivers casino is determined to bring in more gamblers, WKYC reported.

While it created 1,500 jobs, the casino has struggled to achieve the projected revenue for its first year, the report said.

Table games have helped, but competition from Pennsylvania and West Virginia provides the property with considerable challenge, the WKYC report mentioned.

The Mayor described Rivers Casino as a "major plus for the city", the report noted.
