MGC to hold public meeting on Oct. 1

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The Massachusetts Gaming Commission (MGC) will hold its 165th open public meeting on Thursday, October 1. The Commission will begin the meeting with a general update and a discussion about the process for fines, penalties and notices of non-compliance.

The Commission will also receive an update from Research and Responsible Gaming Director Mark Vander Linden regarding the Regional Gaming Related Crime Impact Report. In addition, the Commission will discuss the evaluation process and schedule for the Region C Phase 2 application.

Lastly, the Commission is anticipated to vote on several racing issues including a request for additional racing days from Plainridge Park Casino, Local Aid payments and a request for racing official approval from Suffolk Downs.
