Man dies after falling off escalator at A.C. casino

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey -- As reported by The Philadelphia Inquirer: "A man was fatally injured after falling from the escalator at the Pier Shops at Caesars, a mall connected to the Caesars Atlantic City casino.

"The accident happened about midnight Saturday, Atlantic City Police Sgt. Angelo Maimone said. The man was taken to the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City, where he was pronounced dead, Maimone said.

"The man's name and other details were not released pending further investigation, Maimone said. Caesars did not return a call yesterday seeking comment. The security office at the Pier Shops also declined to comment..."
