Malaysia: Local goverment sued over gambling ban

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia -- Three people are suing the local government of Kelantan over the gambling ban introduced earlier this year, the Malay Mail reported.

The complainants, two of whom are business men, contend that the local government does not have the power to change the gambling laws because they are under the Federal Constitution, the report said.

The case will be heard in mid August, the Malay Mail said.
