Maine: Voters approve casino in referendum

PORTLAND, Maine -- 50 percent of people voted in favour of a $165 million casino and resort for Oxford in western Maine, according to a Canadian Press report.

The referendum was voted on yesterday.

The casino should create 2700 jobs and generate millions for the economy, the Canadian Press report noted.
