Louisiana: Slot winnings bill advances

LOUISIANA -- A bill has advanced in the Senate that would see new rules on slot winnings for parents who default on child support payments, The Advocate reported.

Anyone owing child support who wins more than $1200 will be relieved of it under the legislation, the report explained.

The committee agreed to reduce the limit to $300 on the request of a local Reverend, The Advocate said.
