Louisiana Gambling Board Delays Isle of Capri Hearing

LOUISIANA – As reported by the Louisiana Advocate: "The state Gaming Control Board once again delayed a hearing Tuesday on Isle of Capri's bid to move one of its Lake Charles casino boats to the less saturated New Orleans market.

"The Isle of Capri's attorney, Dan McDaniel, said the company is still reviewing the project and intends to submit the necessary information to the state Attorney General's Office by March.

"…The Isle-Lake Charles was at the bottom of the barrel, making the least money of any other casino in the state. The Isle wants to move the low-grossing casino to Jefferson Parish. The gambling board and Jefferson Parish voters would have to approve the move…"
