Kansas City casinos post results

MISSOURI -- As reported by the Wichita Business Journal: "The Kansas City area's four riverboat casinos saw a combined 3.6 percent revenue increase in February compared with last year, according to statistics the Missouri Gaming Commission released Monday.

"The Kansas City market as a whole had revenue of $61.7 million in February, up from $59.6 million last year. The casinos' combined customer count was 854,033 in February, down less than 1 percent from 859,469 last year.

"..Those casinos will be competition for a casino in Wyandotte County, on the Kansas side of the metropolitan area. Kansas officials are trying to determine where casinos should be located in Sumner County and Dodge City."
