Kane County overthrows video gambling ban

ILLINOIS -- Kane County has reversed a ban on video gambling, the Daily Herald reports.

The ban was implemented last December, the Daily Herald said.

Local unions strongly supported repealing the video gambling ban, the report said.

If anything the vote was more about jobs than gambling, and 22 businesses will be able to install the machines once licenses are issued, the Daily Herald reported mentioned.
