Jumer's Combines Casino Projects

ILLINOIS – As reported by the Independent: "Jumer's Casino Rock Island officials will announce today they will double-down on their construction project in southwest Rock Island.

"Jumer's hotel and casino, awaiting construction near the southwest corner of the intersection of Interstate 280 and Illinois 92, will be combined into one project rather than being done in two phases, casino president Ron Wicks says. Construction is expected to begin later this summer and wrap up by late 2007 or early 2008.

"…Combining the projects also will boost Rock Island, Mayor Mark Schwiebert said.

"…The casino's annual number of customer visits is expected to double when the new venue opens. The Casino Rock Island currently draws 750,000 customers annually to its downtown riverfront location…"
