Japan: Sumo wrestler sacked over illegal gambling

Japan -- Following last week's scandal in the world of sumo wrestling the BBC is now reporting that one of the leading wresting stars has been sacked.

Kotomitsuki as he is known, is the first ozeki to be fired, the BBC said.

Fans are outraged by the scandal and sponsors have withdrawn from a major tournament on account of the disgrace associated with the sport, The BBC reported.
