(PRESS RELEASE) -– Island View Casino Resort officials recently appointed James Guay as director of marketing for the Gulfport gaming resort. Guay joined Island View in August 2010 as a special projects manager. As marketing director, he will oversee the functions of advertising, player promotions, entertainment and communications. Prior to joining Island View, Guay, who has more than 20 years of experience in the gaming and hospitality industry, served as a casino marketing consultant for nine years. He also held the position of corporate vice president of marketing for Isle of Capri Casinos Inc. from 1997 to 2001 and vice president of marketing for Trump Plaza in Atlantic City from 1994 to 1997. He holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Utah State University. A Las Vegas native, Guay currently resides in Ocean Springs, Miss. |
