Ireland: Planning board delay decision on super-casino

6 June 2011

IRELAND -- An Bord Pleanala, the state planning board, will take more time before it decides on the fate of the proposed first Irish super-casino, the Sunday Business Post said.

The super-casino is planned for Two Mile Borris in North Tipperary, the report said.

The proposed resort has been approved by the local council and will feature a casino, an all-weather racecourse, a greyhound track and numerous other amenities, the Sunday Business Post said.

Any planned casino in Ireland will require a change in current gambling legislation, the report also noted.
