Iowa: Recession impacted local gaming

IOWA -- The Mystique Casino and Dubuque Greyhound Park said the recession hit them harder than anyone expected, according to a Telegraph-Herald report.

The casino did however manage to come in 16 percent under its budget, the report said.

The gaming market may not have grown, but $11.3 million in revenue went to the city and local charities, the Telegraph-Herald report noted.
