IOC firm to monitor illegal Olympic betting

ACAPULCO, Mexico -- The International Olympic Committee continues its effort to thwart illegal betting, according to a Xinhua report.

The IOC has established International Sports Monitoring (ISM) for the purpose of monitoring illegal betting, the report explained.

ISM watches money flow in betting and reports signs of an upward spike to the IOC for investigation, Xinhua said.
