Illinois Casinos See Decreases

ILLINOIS – As reported by the Beacon News: "Aurora and Joliet casinos continued to see revenues decline in February, even as other Illinois casinos began to see increases.

"Hollywood Casino-Aurora reported revenue of nearly $19 million, a 17.9 percent drop from February of 2003, according to the Illinois Gaming Board's recently released monthly report.

"Harrah's Joliet Hotel & Casino generated nearly $21.9 million, an 8.6 percent drop from a year ago.

"Argosy's Empress Casino in Joliet saw revenue of $18.6 million, down 2.2 percent from the same month a year ago…"
