Illinois Casinos Post Increased Revenue

JOLIET, Illinois – As reported by the Illinois Herald News: "Local casinos posted increased revenue in August compared to a year ago.

"The monthly report on casino revenue released Friday by the Illinois Gaming Board showed a 5.3 percent increase at all nine of the states casinos.

"Harrah's Joliet Casino & Hotel posted a 9.2 percent increase at $28.9 million in revenue for the month.

"The Empress Casino in Joliet saw a 4.4 percent increase at $21.9 million…"
