Hastings Entertainment CEO Resigns

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – As reported by the Thoroughbred Times: "Phil Heard has resigned as chief executive officer of Hastings Entertainment Inc., recently purchased by Great Canadian Gaming Corp.. He had held the position since April 2000.

"'I still felt that I had a lot to do,' Heard told Daily Racing Form. 'I certainly like the business and felt that we had a good team at Hastings, but it just wasn't going to work out.'…"
