Harrah's Names New General Manager27 January 2005
LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- Harrah's Operating Company, Inc., a subsidiary of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc. (NYSE: HET) has named Patrick Dennehy Senior Vice President and General Manager of Horseshoe Bossier City Hotel & Casino and the nearby Harrah's Louisiana Downs thoroughbred racetrack and casino, subject to the receipt of any required regulatory approval.
Dennehy is currently senior vice president and general manager of Harrah's Cherokee Casino Hotel, where he has been committed to the promotion of Native Americans into key leadership positions at the property. He will begin transitioning to his new role immediately upon the receipt of any required regulatory approvals.
"Throughout his 22-year career with Harrah's, Patrick has established himself as an effective leader who produces exceptional results," said Carlos Tolosa, Harrah's Eastern Division president. "I'm confident that his breadth of experience and leadership abilities will ensure his continued success in his new assignment."
Dennehy previously held several high-profile positions with the company, including successful stints as general manager of Harrah's Joliet, Harrah's Lake Tahoe and Harrah's New Orleans.
"The search for a new general manager at Harrah's Cherokee has already begun," Tolosa said. "We are determined to select the best possible candidate to assume this important post."
