Gaming NewsHarrah's installs parking system7 September 2007CHINO, California -- (PRESS RELEASE) -- To enhance the excellent customer service that guests already receive, Harrah's St. Louis Casino & Hotel in Missouri has recently installed ParkWatch, a parking guidance system that makes finding a place to park at the resort faster, easier and much less stressful. Designed and marketed by Alvarado Mfg. Co., Inc., of Chino, CA, the ParkWatch Vehicle Monitoring and Display System informs guests as they enter the property, if and where parking spaces are available, thus reducing the time and frustration many experience in crowded parking lots. With ParkWatch, a positive experience is initiated even before guests get out of their cars. They're able to enjoy their visit from the moment they arrive -- a benefit to both the guest and the casino. For Harrah's parking management, ParkWatch offers additional benefits. As the loop-based system tracks vehicles, management has real-time information on the number of incoming and outgoing vehicles as well as the number of vehicles on lots or floors. It also allows integration of gate operators, or other hardware devices, to automatically open or close when set capacities in the facility, lot or floor are reached. Bright outdoor digital displays are utilized to inform patrons of the number of remaining spaces in a particular lot or floor. "At Harrah's, we're committed to providing excellent customer service in every aspect of our business," said Justin Carter, project manager at the resort. "In regards to our parking facility, ParkWatch was exactly what we needed. Our guests know where to find convenient parking and this allows them to enter the resort in less time than if they have to drive around looking for parking. In addition, we now have real-time incoming and outgoing traffic information and true historical data that allows us to anticipate future traffic patterns. Alvarado designed the infrastructure, coordinated the installation, and everything went very smoothly," Carter added. The Alvarado ParkWatch system is built around the Microsoft® SQL database and provides excellent standardized reporting and management functionality. |
