Harlow's on track for opening

22 June 2007

GREENVILLE, Mississippi -- (PRESS RELEASE)— Two major projects that will have an impact on the Delta region are under construction here. However, an anticipated opening date sometime in late October for Harlow's Casino Resort is about two and half years earlier than its neighbor, the second largest staid-cable suspension bridge in the world which will cross the Mississippi River in 2010 supporting expected traffic of about 2 million vehicles a year.

In the meantime, approximately 1.2 million vehicles will drive by on the existing bridge within shouting distance of Harlow's to be greeted by the casino's face; the new hotel perched on a knoll overlooking a small lake.

"Speaking for the managing members, developers and President Rick Schilling, we are pleased that construction is on target and should allow us to open in late October," said Domenic Mezzetta, Chief Operating Officer and General Manager. "We received great support from Greenville and Washington County officials, and our construction companies and feel confident that the project will remain on track for the projected opening."

All of the buildings are now under roof and final changes are being applied to electrical systems. In September, nearly 900 Slot machines will be installed along with all the anticipated gaming equipment and furnishings. A domestic water well remains to be drilled and a sewage treatment plant is on the way.

Applications for hundreds of positions in the casino, restaurants and hotel will be entertained beginning July 9. On this date, calls may be made to 662-335-9797, Ext. 620 to receive information on applications.

A tour of the 33,000 square foot casino and 105 room hotel, revealed a bit of history docked behind the building… the restaurant portion of one of the first casino pioneer's in the state, Splash Casino, which was docked at Mhoon Landing in Tunica County and opened in 1992, is being renovated into a 400-seat buffet dining area. The restaurant will overlook a lake and an existing private hunting lodge on some 7,000 acres along the banks of the Mississippi River.

Also being finished is a 2,500-seat entertainment center, along with four bars and another café style restaurant. Plans are in the works for a gourmet steak house and the future could see a world-class golf course and luxury spa.

Harlow's, which brings to mind the glamorous golden age of Hollywood, will have a 30's art deco theme and according to Schilling, "will bring back the lavish old Hollywood style to meet the new era of Hollywood with even more grandeur."

Strategically situated between the two bridges on Highway 82 which runs through the center of Greeenville, the "Heart and Soul of the Delta," Harlow's will be readily accessible to the regional market of Little Rock and Pine Bluff, Arkansas, Northern Louisiana and Clarksdale, Cleveland, Greenwood and Jackson, MS plus the surrounding area within a 100 mile radius of the site.
