Gun Lake Casino aims for January opening

WAYLAND TOWNSHIP, Michigan -- A $165 million loan has been secured for The Gun Lake Casino, The Grand Rapids Press reported.

The acquisition of this loan means the casino can reignite the ambition of a January opening, the report said.

The loan was secured from Goldman Sachs, the Gun Lake Band of Pottawatomi have struggled through 10 years of challenges, according to the Grand Rapids Press.

The 83,000-squre-foot property will comprise 1400 slot machines, 28 table games and employ 600 people, the report noted.
