Gulf Coast casino revenue down for 2011

LOUISIANA -- Gulf Coast casino revenue was down $141 million compared to 2010, the Sun-Herald reported.

Revenue actually rose in December, but overall results were impacted by the flooding events on the Mississippi river which closed some casinos temporarily last summer, the report said.
