Gaming NewsGrand Biloxi GM: 'I think we'll do fine'27 October 2008BILOXI, Mississippi -- As reported by the Sun-Herald: "The new boss of Grand Biloxi Casino, Hotel & Spa has already seen the challenge of two hurricanes and a shaky economy since he arrived on the Coast in August and he's still optimistic. "'I think we'll do fine,' said General Manager Steve Ditchkus. "He describes Grand Biloxi as 'small but mighty,' with loyal guests who come from near and far, thanks to Harrah's database of 40 million names. "...Before coming to Grand Biloxi, Ditchkus worked at Paris and Bally's in Las Vegas. Those properties had 6,000 guest rooms compared to about 500 at the Grand, yet Ditchkus said, 'In some ways running a small place is harder.' "...He's made a few changes and said for now, the resort is the right size for the market..." |
