Government promises action on youth football betting

LONDON, England -- Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger has expressed concern about youth betting on academy matches, The Telegraph newspaper in London, England has reported.

This concern, added to that of the four major football bodies, has pushed the Minister for Sport to promise legislation to ban the practice.

The issue has been recently highlighted in the Telegraph newspaper's exposure on bookmakers offering bets on youth football.
