Gold Rush casino finds new owner

CALIFORNIA – As reported by the Union: "If all goes well with the state Department of Justice, Miner Moe's Pizza owner Scott Bartosh could become the new owner of Grass Valley's only gambling parlor in three weeks.

"'We're trying to get a temporary license issued to us to get operating as soon as possible,' said Bartosh, who said he has met the terms of escrow with Gold Rush Casino and Gaming Parlor's present owner Sue Barrows.

"If the Department of Justice doesn't approve a temporary license for Bartosh, he'll have to wait six months for an extensive background check.

"…Once he is the owner, Bartosh wants to expand the card room's hours to seven days a week, open at noon instead of 6 p.m., offer daily Poker Texas Hold 'em tournaments and install televisions and more lighting to 'improve the atmosphere.'…"
