Garden Grove to Study Casino Proposal

GARDEN GROVE, California – As reported by the Orange County Register: "City leaders at a study session tonight will consider a budget committee's recommendation to pursue a resort and tribal casino along Harbor Boulevard.

"The plan for the resort and casino and aggressive redevelopment along the Harbor Corridor were the group's top ideas to help make up a projected $6.7 million deficit in 2007-08.

"Committee leaders said they would support a 5 percent utility tax if the resort and casino or redevelopment plans fail…"
