Gaming Technology Summit Convenes

LAS VEGAS – (PRESS RELEASE) -- The third annual Gaming Technology Summit gets under way Wednesday at the Green Valley Ranch in Las Vegas, continuing throughout the day Thursday. Highlights include:

-- 9 a.m., May 25. The CIO Coalition, featuring Marshall Andrew, Glenn Bonner, Tim Stanley, Dan Ives and Doug Rice. A group of top Gaming CIOs of the Hospitality Technology Next Generation (HTNG) organization is moving forward to drive better technology into the gaming and hospitality business through the implementation of improved processes and frameworks for quality management and interoperability. This panel will be featured in the opening keynote session. Andrew is the Vice President of IT and CIO, Station Casinos, Inc.; Bonner is the CIO of MGM Mirage; Stanley is CIO of Harrah's Entertainment, Inc.; Ives is CIO of the Golden Nugget; and Rice is with Hotel Technology Next Generation.

-- 11:30 a.m., May 25. Robert G. Goldstein, President and CEO, Venetian Resort Hotel Casino, will provide the luncheon keynote Wednesday; and

-- 11:30 a.m., May 26. Past and current Gaming Standards Association chairmen Gregg Solomon and Lyle Bell will unveil GSA's Best of Breed and System-2-System standards in the luncheon keynote on Thursday.

Gaming Technology Summit addresses the critical role of technology throughout casino hotels and the demands it places on gaming professionals to learn new skills, integrate systems and make hardware and software investment decisions. It brings together gaming industry professionals to network, learn about new technologies and their applications in the industry, and confer about the trials and successes of these efforts.
