FreeLotto Introduces New $10,000,000 Daily Jackpot1 May 2000
NEW YORK, N.Y., May 1 (Press Release) - What does the most popular sweepstakes site on the Internet do to generate even more excitement among players? Simple-increase the jackpot ten-fold to $10 million, the largest daily jackpot on the web.
FreeLotto (TM), the top-ranked Internet sweepstakes site for March (source: PC Data Online) and 20th largest web property overall, announced today it is introducing three new, daily games including one that features a $10 million cash prize.
Combined with the popular FreeLotto daily, $1 million "pick six" drawing that already has had five $1 million winners, the new games – which debut today -- give players four daily chances to win prizes, up from the previous three plays-per-day.
Kevin Aronin, chairman & CEO of PlasmaNet, Inc., the parent company of FreeLotto, said he expects the new games to attract even more players to the site. "We reached 19 percent of all U.S. Internet users in March, with 12.9 million unique visitors, and we expect these new games to add an additional level of excitement and interest that will further accelerate FreeLotto's already rapid growth."
FreeLotto's new lineup of free games includes "Classic FreeLotto". In this popular game, launched in June 1999, players select six numbers (out of 54). Anyone correctly selecting all six numbers drawn in the daily, lottery-style ball-drop drawing wins $1 million cash, paid in a lump sum. Prizes also are awarded for correctly picking five numbers ($300), four numbers ($5) and three numbers ($1).
Since its launch, five FreeLotto players have hit the $1 million jackpot, and more than 2.1 million checks have been issued totaling more than $8.3 million.
Other games include "Win a Car", where players who correctly select six numbers out of 42 win a new luxury car with a value of up to $50,000. In "Fast Cash" players correctly picking six numbers out of 33 win $10,000 in instant cash. With "Super Free Lotto" players who correctly select seven numbers out of 50 win the daily drawing for $10 million. This is believed to be the largest daily prize offered anywhere on the Internet.
FreeLotto players are eligible to submit one entry for each of the four games every day, a total of four FreeBets (TM) a day. Previously, players were eligible to submit a total of three entries daily. With the new lineup of games, FreeLotto players now have more chances to win a broader range of prizes, including the $10 million Super FreeLotto jackpot.
"We are thrilled to be expanding the scope of FreeLotto, the number of prizes we expect to hand out, and the size of the prize that our loyal players can win," Aronin said. "We believe that we have already given away more prizes and created more millionaires than any other online sweepstakes, but we're always looking for new ways to give away cash and prizes."
To participate in FreeLotto, players log onto http://www.freelotto.com to select their numbers. Once selected, the numbers appear on a game board and players are asked to click on one of three advertising banners in order to submit their FreeBet, which is then confirmed via e-email.
FreeLotto is fully advertiser supported. More than 160 million FreeBets have been placed since FreeLotto's launch, with new players joining at a rate of 500,000 each week.
