Free music festival returns to Newcastle Casino

24 September 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Guests of all ages are invited to enjoy live music, family-friendly fun, special guests and various food trucks during Newcastle Casino’s free Exit 107 Live Family Music Festival on Sunday, 14 October. The festival will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. in the casino’s north parking lot.

“Exit 107 is a fun, free event for the entire family,” said Ryan Sykes, Newcastle Casino’s general manager. “It’s our way of thanking our community by bringing everyone together for great live music, some of our favorite local food trucks, and family-friendly games and activities.”

The event returns with a twang this year as famed Texas Country talent, Reckless Kelly, is joined by local favorites Superfreak and the Jason Young Band, bringing together a diverse mix of upbeat, exciting tunes. Bands begin playing at 1:30 p.m.

Additionally, the event will feature numerous fun activities for guests of all ages, including a petting zoo, carnival rides and bounce houses. Extreme Animals of Oklahoma City will return with several exotic animals, including a baby kangaroo, lemur, baby crocodile and a fennec fox as well as more familiar animals such as bunnies, chickens, lizards, snakes, spiders and a tortoise. Free carnival rides and games will be available, including a trackless train, Wrecking Ball ride, Jitterbug swing and more, courtesy of Allison’s Fun Inc. Guests can also enjoy activities featuring OKC’s favorite teams at the Dodgers tent and Thunder Bolt Trailer.

Food will be available for purchase from an assortment of food trucks, including Mighty Corndog, Lolli & Pop’s Funnel Cakes, MMP Concessions, Span Devu’s, The Urban Taco Shop, Fry Daddy’s Concession, Kona Ice, Amore, Chris’ Grill & Frozen Treats and Pops Pockets.
