Found lottery tickets are worthless

NEW YORK -- As reported by the Syracuse Post-Standard: "More than $1,400 in lottery tickets found Sunday in Schiller Park are worthless, Syracuse police said Wednesday.

"The New York Lottery Commission put a stop order on any payments of winning tickets in the bunch a year ago, Lt. Joe Cecile said.

"The tickets came from Choice One Food Market, 1201 Butternut St., which was burglarized June 22, although the police report does not mention missing lottery tickets..."
