First-ever Chinese show at SugarHouse Casino

10 August 2018

(PRESS RELEASE) -- On Saturday, 1 September, at 11 p.m., The Event Center audience is in for a sweet treat with the first-ever Chinese show at SugarHouse Casino, starring Shino Lin and Candy Lo. Tickets for this unique opportunity to see these performers in their only East Coast show cost from $68 to $108 and can be purchased at Mian, the casino’s authentic quick-service Asian cuisine restaurant, or online.

Formerly the lead vocalist of the band Black and Blue, Candy Lo is a Canto-rock singer and songwriter from Hong Kong who launched her solo career in 1998. Signing on with the newly founded label WhatsUp Music Limited, she collaborated with the band Fabel on the hit single “Self-Love,” which landed a spot on two of the four major Hong Kong singles charts.

Shino Lin is a Taiwanese singer and actress who began her singing career in Japan in 1990.

Her first official album was released independently in 1998 and represents Shino’s lifelong relationship with music.

Tickets for all SugarHouse performances — including KC and the Sunshine Band (11 August), Rock The Yacht (17 August), Jon Dorenbos (24-25 August), Robert Cray Band (7 September), Chris D’Elia (29 September), Commodores (12 October) and George Lopez (19 October) — can be purchased online.

In addition to live performances and concerts, The Event Center at SugarHouse Casino can be reserved for a variety of occasions, including weddings, corporate receptions, seminars, trade shows and more. The space features floor-to-ceiling windows and panoramic views of the Delaware River waterfront and the Ben Franklin Bridge. Parking is always free.
