FireKeepers casino has put $12 million into economy

EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Michigan -- Firekeepers Casino are reporting success a year from opening, according to WZZM.

The casino created 1500 new jobs and it's executives are quoted saying it has "pumped $12 million into the local economy" in the WZZM report.

To celebrate the one year anniversary prize giveaways are planned, the report noted.
