'Exchange bandit' gets 6-year sentence

TORONTO, Ontario -- Toronto banker who robbed banks to fund his gambling addiction will go to jail for six years, according to a CBC news report.

Kevin John Pinto became known as the "Exchange Bandit" because of his habit of inquiring about the rate of the US dollar before robbing the various banks, according to the CBC.

Pinto had accumulated considerable debt on account of gambling addiction, the report noted.
