Edmonton: Catholic church ban casino fundraising

ALBERTA, Canada -- The Archdiocese has ordered an end to gambling as fundraising for catholic schools, CBC reported.

A letter was issued by the Archbishop Richard Smith last week and sent to schools, CBC said.

The dilemma was described as a moral issue, but leaves the Catholic School Board needing to raise $3 million another way, CBC reported.
