Dubuque casino hiring more workers

IOWA -- As reported by the Des Moines Register: "The Dubuque Diamond Jo Casino said today it is hiring 196 additional employees for its new $80 million, land-based gambling complex that will open at the Port of Dubuque on the Mississippi River on Dec. 11.

"The workers will represent an additional $2.5 million in annual payroll for the Dubuque area, said Carrie Tedore, a Diamond Jo spokeswoman. Fifty-six of the new employees have been hired; the casino is taking applications daily to fill the remaining 140 positions..."
