Dover Downs reports weaker quarter

DOVER DOWNS, Delaware -- Table games gave Dover Downs a boost, but the quarter faced tough competition, according to a News Journal report.

Excluding the fact that for the same period last year Dover Downs had to pay an impairment charge of $2.2 million, profits fell slightly when compared year by year, the News Journal report explained.

The company continue to protest that Delaware is taking too much from their gambling revenues, the report noted.
