Diaz Agrees to Pay Casino $675,000 in Restitution

CALIFORNIA -- As reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal: ``A former Harrah's Lake Tahoe dealer agreed to pay the casino $675,000 in restitution after pleading guilty Tuesday to stealing its money between May 1999 and May 2003.

``Patricia Gail Diaz, 47, asked Douglas District Court Judge David Gamble to delay imposing her sentence for 90 days so she has time to sell a house and a boat to raise money for restitution.

``Diaz pleaded guilty to grand theft in using her position as a high stakes dealer to steal $500 chips from the Stateline casino. She faces up to 10 years in prison when Gamble sentences her May 25, but the Douglas County district attorney has agreed to recommend probation…"
