Developer Makes Challenge to New Mexico Racino

NEW MEXICO – As reported by the El Paso Times: "The developer of a proposed casino in Anthony, N.M., issued a challenge Thursday to the owner of the Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino.

"Developer Gerald Peters said: Give half ownership of your casino to New Mexico State University now, and he'll guarantee that the Anthony casino won't harm New Mexico State University's stake in the Sunland Park operation.

"Peters made that challenge during a visit to Doña Ana County. Stan Fulton, owner of the Sunland Park operation, has specified in his will that NMSU will receive half ownership of the racetrack and casino upon his death…"
