Des Plaines wraps up casino details

DES PLAINES, Illinois -- The Des Plaines city council has given approval for a 140,000-sq-ft casino, at northwest corner of Devon Avenue and River Road, the Daily Herald reported.

The casino will be constructed in phases, with phase one including casino, skywalk, restaurants, bars and parking spaces, Daily Herald said.

Midwest Gaming & Entertainment can move forward once the land purchased is closed on March 31, 2010, the report noted.
